Moab Professional Stargazing Tour

Our most popular stargazing experience! This stargazing tour starts just around sunset and guides you through the dark skies for a 2-hour experience.

Starting with a brief walk to our dark sky location, our guides will familiarize you with the night sky as astronomical twilight begins to set. Each guest lounges in their own zero-gravity pod. These pods conform to your body, eliminating pressure points to make it comfortable and easy to view the star-filled sky. Each guest also has a pair of Celestron Outland X Binoculars to view the sky from their pod and a handheld Celestron Astro Night Vision Flashlight to move around safely.

Our astronomy guides will present a 120-minute program that includes state-of-the-art telescopes (Celestron, Unistellar eVscope) and laser pointers to guide you around the constellations and objects of the night sky. The Moab Stargazing team is experienced and knowledgeable and provides you with an entertaining and scholastic experience, with stories about ancient civilizations, the history of astronomy, and the evolution of the Cosmos.

We also provide guests an up-close view of celestial objects (galaxies, nebulae, clusters) through our powerful telescopes. These telescopes are operated with a keypad and are as easy to use as sending a text. Telescopes are pre-programmed with our object list for the night. Pressing one button on the keypad moves the telescope to the next object.
